WHO WE ARE
Friends of Playa Vista School (FPVS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation founded and operated by the parents of Playa Vista Elementary students. We support Playa Vista Elementary School administrators, teachers, staff, students, and families so that every child in every classroom receives the enrichment and educational support they deserve. We build community through events and fundraisers, and every dollar goes to supporting our school! All donations to FPVS are tax-deductible.

To support and strengthen the Playa Vista Elementary School community through inclusive fundraising efforts that benefit all students, families, teachers, staff, and administrators. We are dedicated to enhancing the educational experience by funding programs, events, and resources that LAUSD doesn’t… helping our school soar to new heights.

Interested in Volunteering at PVES?
We appreciate and value our parent volunteers here at PVES. Here are the steps required for all PVES volunteers:
- Complete a LAUSD volunteer application at the start of each school year. The application can be found HERE.
- Volunteers must have a valid T.B. clearance certificate. You can get this from your physician or an urgent care.
- Sign a Confidentiality Agreement at the start of each school year.
- Attend a Volunteer Training meeting offered by the school. Watch for announcements on upcoming trainings.
- Once all items are completed, you will be approved by the front office.
- Please sign-in and wear your LAUSD Approved Volunteer badge whenever you are volunteering on campus.
- You do NOT need to be an LAUSD Approved Volunteer to help at FPVS events outside of school hours or off campus.
